Technip Secures Statoil Services Contracts

Technip announced Thursday that it has been awarded fabrication and installation contracts by Statoil for the Johan Sverdrup and Oseberg Vestflanken developments. The two lump sum contracts for infield pipeline construction cover the fabrication and installation of 18 miles of plastic-lined 16” water injection flowlines for Johan Sverdrup and 4.6 miles of 14” production pipeline, along with 5.5 miles of 10” gas injection pipeline, for Oseberg Vestflanken 2.

Odd Strømsnes, managing director of Technip in Norway, commented in a company statement:  “We are delighted to have been awarded these two prestigious contracts by Statoil in a very competitive business environment. This demonstrates Technip’s leading position in fabrication and installation of complex flowlines. We are looking forward to execute these projects collaboratively with Statoil in order to achieve the project goals.”
